KFII Greenways

Hello KFII Neighbors,

Are there common areas in your neighborhood that need improvement or beautification?  Would you be willing to coordinate the project on a short-term basis?  If so, the KFII Greenways Committee would like to support you in that effort. Improvements can include seasonal plantings and decorations at your sub-division entrances, benches or picnic areas in larger common areas, and similar improvements.  We can help you with planning the project and exploring available funding, while at the same time providing an opportunity to meet committee members and others who are interested in making our common areas beautiful and welcoming.  Please spread the word and share your ideas, talents and volunteer spirit.  We look forward to hearing from you.

If you have ideas to share, are interested in this project, or would like to attend a Greenways Committee meeting, please contact the chair of the Greenways Comittee (Mary Beth Bright) at Brightdiver@nc.rr.com for more information.

Greenways 2011 Projects

The committee is working on the quotes for the Fox Chase Islands and the field behind Hanover Place.  The Committee is also working on the solar lighting for the signs throughout the neighborhood.

They have board approval to do a cleanup of debris left from storms this year which should be done in the fall.  They are in the process of getting bids for landscaping the circles at Fox Chase.  They are also developing a proposal to solicit bids for an annual contract to plant flowers and maintain the areas at each sub-division.
